Vice-Senior General Soe Win extends warm welcome to peace talks for country's nationwide stability

Vice-Senior General Soe Win stated that the Government and the Myanmar Military are extending a warm welcome to transparent peace talks.

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Vice-Senior General Soe Win addressed it during the meeting with officer trainees, officer instructors and families from Pyin-Oo-Lwin Station in Mandalay Region on 2nd October.

“Peace and stability are essential components of the country's development. Therefore, to attain lasting nationwide peace, the NSPNC is exerting its utmost efforts.” the Vice-Army Chief said.

For the nationwide peace and stability, they will continue working hand in hand with those NCA signatories Ethnic Armed Organizations in implementing perpetual internal peace beholding the NCA agreement.

The State Administration Council has affirmed that both the Government and the Military have commitment to achieving lasting internal peace by consistently extending invitations for transparent peace negotiations. Ongoing discussions are also underway to include non-signatory groups in the Hluttaw discussions. This approach will enable these groups to actively engage in peace talks and express their aspirations through legitimate means.

The SAC Government is planning to celebrate the 8th anniversary of the NCA and is currently making necessary preparations to invite all the leaders of the Ethnic Armed Organizations.

There are a total of ten NCA signatories. Nevertheless, among them, the KNU, CNF, and ABSDF continue engaging in armed conflicts with the Myanmar Military.
