12 PDF members return to legal fold along with two AK-47s

The State Administration Council (SAC) presented 300 lakhs of kyats in cash award to 12 PDFs who have returned to the legal fold along with two rifles.

It is reported that the PDF members who did not commit any crime, nine males and three females from Tamu Township, Kalay Township and Monywa Township returned to legal fold together with two AK-47s.

The returning ceremony was held at the local military halls in respective township in Sagaing Region.

The responsible officials received two AK-47s and awarded 100 lakhs of kyat for these two rifles. After that, the person who has returned to the legal fold is supported 20 lakhs of kyat for each. Therefore, altogether 340 lakhs of kyat together with other supported items and foods are presented to them by the responsible officials.

Those who returned back to the legal fold signed the document of the pledge before returning to their respective parents and guardians.

The SAC has been welcoming those who are returning to the legal fold and providing supports to them. Last but not least, the SAC already announced that those who want to return to the legal fold can contact to respective Township administration office, military station, and police station.
