Massive tourists inbound to Kayin State in Jan-Aug

According to the Kayin State Directorate of Hotel and Tourism, a massive number with 112,000 domestic travelers and 300 tourists visited Kayin State within January and August this year.
It is reported that 58 licensed hotels in Kayin State offered services on those massive travelers earning 2158.52 million kyats.
In addition, visitors from Thailand visited Kayin State through Myawaddy Friendship Bridge which was reopened on 12th January this year after the outbreak of Covid-19, as per the statement released by the state-owned media.
Moreover, 22 tour destinations in Kayin were announced by the Kayin State Government at visitkayin.com website and a nature-based travel city will be established by arranging tour packages for Thai travelers, according to the Kayin State Directorate of Hotel and Tourism department.
