Government tries to avoid armed clashes with EAOs while preparing to hold NCA anniversary

The spokesperson of the State Administration Council (SAC) Major General Zaw Min Tun stated that the SAC is trying to avoid armed clashes and fire exchange with the ethnic armed troops while the 8th anniversary of Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement is getting closer.

He addressed it on 11th October, few days after explosion happened at KIA’s Laiza headquarters.

“This is the 8th anniversary of signing the NCA. We’ve invited all EAOs to attend the event. We are trying to hold the event with full essences. During that period, we are trying not to exchange fire with the EAOs,” Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun said.

The 8th anniversary of the NCA will be held in Naypyidaw on 15th October.
