Commander-in-Chief to meet over 40 political parties in Naypyidaw today

It is reported that the Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and representatives from more than 40 political parties are going to meet this afternoon.

The report states that the meeting is scheduled to hold at 1 pm.

An acting chairman of the People’s Pioneer Party U Myint Maung Tun confirmed that the Senior General invited the political parties for lunch.

Representatives from over 40 political parties attended that 76th Independence Day ceremony in Naypyidaw.

This meeting is expected to be the first time of meeting between Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the political parties after the 2021 political transition.

At present, the Union Election Commission has granted 47 political parties for registration under the new Political Parties Registration Law.
