The Narkwon Bridge located in Lashio Township, Shan State has been sabotaged by terrorists on 11 January at an estimated 9 pm, according to the local resident.

“It is quite away from us. We heard the explosion sound at around 8:30 or 9 pm. In the morning, we learned that the bridge was exploded,” the resident said.

The bridge is 200 feet long. It was built by a Buddhist Sayadaw from Lashio to have the convenient transportation for the local people. Now, the bridge has been broken at the center and people and vehicles cannot cross over it.

The resident continued, “What can we say now. We’re sad that people from Namtu, Mangsi and Enine will now encounter difficulties in transportation for health since the Narwkwon bridge has been sabotaged.”

Similarly on 1 January, the TNLA/KIA terrorist groups exploded and destroyed the Enine bridge located in nine miles away from Lashio Town, located on Lashio-Namtu road.
