Historic Myonanshwe Pagoda damaged in heavy artillery attack in Loikaw

Myonanshwe Pagoda in Loikaw Township was damaged by the explosion of heavy weapons launched by the Kayah terrorists KNPP and PDF terrorists in recent days, according to the information released by the State Administration Council.

The heavy weapons fired by the KNPP and PDF terrorists resulted in an explosion within the pagoda compound, damaging parts of the pagoda and other religious structures.

Similarly, after the MNDAA had raided Laukkai Township, some members of it intentionally destroyed the pagodas and Buddha statues on Point 2202 Hill near Seaww Village in Laukkai Township.

Religious leaders, local organizations, and individuals across the country have expressed outrage at the recent destruction of a pagoda and other religious buildings and they have also condemned any act of destroying the pagodas and religious buildings by the terrorists.
