Myanmar, Russia discuss increasing oil and natural gas production by AI tech

A discussion to increase the production of oil and natural gas with assistance of the AI technology has been engaged between Myanmar and Russia following the meeting between the Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin and Russian delegation led by Ambassador Mr. Iskander Azizov that was held in Naypyidaw on 17 January.

During the meeting, issues relating to the construction of Oil refinery in Myanmar were taken into account by both sides.

In addition, in order to promote the production from oil and natural gas fields where the production is decreasing, potentialities of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in geology and geophysics were also discussed.

Similarly, the matters regarding to promotion of energy sector cooperation of Myanmar-Russia also discussed and views were exchanged.

In Myanmar, oil and natural gas exploration activities are being processed in oil fields in Magway and Mandalay regions.

Under the State Administration Council (SAC), the bilateral relationship has been improving between Myanmar and Russia and Russia is assisting in the construction of nuclear plant in Myanmar.
