China repeats support of Myanmar’s 5-point roadmap to election

Chinese Premier Li Qiang reaffirmed the Chinese position of supporting the five points roadmap established by Myanmar in paving the way to the fresh election in 2025. He added that China will help Myannar in necessary assistance to hold the upcoming election, according to the statement released by the Information Team of the State Administration Council.
The Chinese Premier addressed this during the bilateral talk between Myanmar Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on 6 November in Kunming, China.
The two leaders met at the Haigeng Garden Hotel in Kunming City during their visit to attend the 8th Greater Mekong Sub-region Summit and the related regional summits.
He also highlighted the importance of the stability in northern Myanmar and expressed the Chinese reaffirmation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Myanmar.
Mr. Li Qiang also stated that China strongly opposes the actions that harm the interest of Myanmar using Chinese territory.
