7 MOUs agreed between Myanmar, China in Kunming City

Representatives of Myanmar and China have signed seven Memoranda of Understanding on collaboration in various sectors, in front of the Myanmar Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and the Chinese Premier Mr. Li Qiang in Kunming City, China on 6 November.

The agreements involved the matters related to land rental of Myanmar Consulate Office in Kunming City and Chinese Consulate Office in Mandalay City; and upgrading training centres.

Other collaboration will cover agriculture, research and innovation, and sports sectors such as agreement on agricultural products' chemical residue removal and pest and disease control, and uplifting the sports sector. In addition, Standardization Administration of China and the Department of Research and Innovation of Myanmar signed the related MOU for technical cooperation.

Chairman of the State Administration Council of Myanmar Senior General Min Aung Hlaing arrived in Kunming City, China on 5 November to participate the 8th Greater Mekong Sub-region Summit, and other related regional meetings of high-level officials.

Senior General held bilateral talks with the Chinese Premier Li Qiang, and the Prime Ministers of Cambodia and Laos in his official visit.
